The problem

The answers already exist.
You just can’t reach them.

70%

of maintenance knowledge is tribal

Never written down, never formally taught — at risk of being permanently lost when the person holding it leaves.

3.8M

new manufacturing workers needed by 2033

Half may go unfilled. Every one who retires takes decades of knowledge with them — knowledge that was never written down.

$1.4T

lost to unplanned downtime every year

The world’s 500 biggest companies lose 11% of annual revenue to downtime. Every breakdown without a known fix compounds that cost.

How it works

From breakdown to resolution —
powered by collective intelligence

0:14 — transcribing…

“Swapped the worn drive belt and re-tensioned to spec — vibration gone…”

Step 1 — Capture

Every fix feeds the network

An engineer resolves a breakdown and records the fix — voice note, photo, or quick text. That knowledge instantly joins the collective intelligence available to any site running that machine.

conveyor keeps tripping on startup

Searching 1,240 fixes for this machine…

Step 2 — Search

Tap into every engineer who’s seen this before

A machine goes down at 2am. Instead of calling around or starting from scratch, the engineer asks Acervas. AI searches every fix ever recorded for that machine — across any site, any shift, any team.

Acervas

Most likely cause: sensor misalignment after a guard change. Re-align to the bracket marks, then test at low speed.

Sourced from 3 verified fixes

Step 3 — Resolve

Proven fixes, not guesswork

Acervas returns a step-by-step answer drawn from real fixes by real engineers — not a generic manual. No names, no identities — just proven solutions from people who’ve been there. Breakdown resolved, knowledge compounded.

The network effect

One network.
Every machine like yours.

A fix in Sydney helps an engineer in Auckland

An engineer in Sydney diagnoses a recurring fault on a packaging line. That fix is instantly searchable by any engineer running the same machine — before they ever hit the same fault.

Every plant makes every search smarter

The more plants running the machines you run, the smarter every search becomes. That’s the network effect — and your first plant taps into it for free.

Anonymised by design

Fixes travel at the machine level — never the plant level. The system can’t surface who logged a fix, only what fixed it. Your data stays walled off; the knowledge travels.

Features

Everything an engineer needs,
nothing they don’t.

AI-Powered Search

Ask in plain English, mid-breakdown. Get answers sourced from real engineering experience — every one cited back to the original fix.

Cross-Site Intelligence

Knowledge shared across every site running the same equipment. The network gets smarter with every fix your engineers log.

Voice Capture

Record fixes on the floor in 15 seconds. AI transcribes and indexes. No typing required.

Photo Documentation

Snap a photo and attach it to any fix for visual context.

Secure & Isolated

Your organisation’s knowledge stays walled off. Only anonymised machine-level fixes travel.

Machine Registry

Every machine catalogued. Every fix linked to the equipment it applies to.

Instant recall

Every machine’s entire history.
One question away.

Fixes, work orders, manuals, SOPs — instantly retrievable for every machine across your whole organisation, not just the plant you’re standing in.

Syncs with your CMMS — doesn’t replace it

Your CMMS stays the system of record. Acervas syncs your asset and work-order history in, then layers on the knowledge it never captures — the 2am fix, the workaround, the handover.

The manual opens to the right page

Load your manuals and SOPs once. Ask about any procedure and Acervas takes you straight to the page that answers it — no binders, no folder digging.

See how Sydney fixed it — years ago

An engineer running the same machine in another of your plants has likely seen this fault before. Their fix is one search away — your whole organisation’s experience, not one facility’s.

FAQ

The questions you’re
already asking.

Your data

No. Your plant’s data is walled off — nobody outside your organisation can see it. What travels the network is the fix for a machine, anonymised by design. Like an OEM technician carrying a fix between sites — except you’re not waiting for one person to happen to visit. Fixes live at the machine level, never the plant level.

You’re not giving them away — you’re trading fixes you’ve already paid for to get access to hundreds you haven’t. Other plants have burned the same months on the same kit. The maths only works against you if you assume you’re the only plant that’s ever solved anything.

It’s not a setting we promise to leave on — the system can’t surface the source. Cross-network reads strip identity at the query boundary, enforced at the database layer. Your own plant’s raw knowledge stays isolated to your team.

“Why not just…”

It records what happened at your plant. It can’t reach the other plants running your machines who already solved tonight’s fault. Acervas sits on top of your CMMS — it doesn’t replace it.

The single-plant version, sure — a tidy logbook. What you can’t build is the cross-plant network: it only works if it’s neutral and runs across companies. A competitor won’t post their fixes into your SharePoint.

An OEM only covers their own kit — your line is multi-OEM. They can’t share another customer’s fixes. And the 2am fix your technician did without calling them? They never hear about it.

Your team

Acervas was built by an engineer who spent 18 years on the tools. A fix is 15 seconds of voice — no forms, no typing. Our rule for every feature: if a tired fitter wouldn’t do it without being told, we don’t ship it.

English today; multilingual is on the roadmap — no firm date, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Even now, talking beats writing: that’s why the shift sheet’s blank.

Not blindly — and they shouldn’t. A shared fix is a head start, not an order: it turns a four-hour cold troubleshoot into “check the seal first.” Verification stays with your team.

Pricing & risk

Your first 90 days are free — full product, unlimited users, no credit card. After the pilot it’s per plant, per month — priced on the downtime we help you recover, measured during your pilot and agreed together before you pay a dollar. No per-seat fees, no surprises.

We’re early — design-partner plants are live on it now. You don’t start with a blank page either: we bring in your CMMS history, manuals, and parts catalogues, so your plant’s own brain is full from day one.

Three honest answers. Your 90-day pilot is free, so there’s no budget at risk while you prove it. Your data is yours and exportable — if we vanish, you walk out with everything. And yes, we’re early: that’s exactly why we de-risk it this way.

Stop losing knowledge. Start building on it.

Tell us about your plants. We'll onboard your first one free for 90 days — your engineers are capturing knowledge inside a week.
